About Bluefield Land
Bluefield Land covers all of south Wales, was established in 2004 and is part of the Dauson Environmental Group, itself set up in 1997. After a hiatus in activity for several years post-2008, the company has been reinvigorated in recent times and is now an active participant in the south Wales property market, delivering an increasing number of differing schemes. Our Focus
Here at Bluefield Land we specialise in the acquisition of brownfield sites and their subsequent regeneration to deliver new eco-efficient homes. Whilst the delivery of new homes is our specialism, we happily consider other opportunities, such as commercial, retail or industrial development.
Our focus over recent years has been to respond to the acute shortage of affordable housing across south Wales and seek to develop partnerships with various affordable housing providers to deliver package deals in the most cost efficient and timely manner. We can and do however consider private housing schemes, along with mixed use opportunities or commercial developments.
We are a “one stop shop” when it comes to optimising the value of your land or property.

Paul Markey
Managing Director
Paul has over 30 years of experience in the South Wales residential development sector. Paul has been with Bluefield since 2018 overseeing the initial schemes as Project Manager before becoming Managing Director in 2020.

Matthew Franks
Head of Operations
Matt has been with us since Jan 23 and oversees all of our site and building operations. Matt is an experienced senior operations manager, having worked in the industry for 30+ years. With a proven track record in the residential and engineering construction sector. He has a wide knowledge of the construction industry including planning, pre-construction, technical appraisals and project delivery.
Gareth Hawke
Land & Planning Manager
Gareth has been with us since early 2023 and leads on land, planning and site acquisition matters. Gareth is a qualified planner (MRTPI) and has over 25 years experience in the residential development sector, having spent most of his career to date working in South Wales at senior level for companies such as Barratt and Taylor Wimpey.

Hannah Meringolo
Office Manager
Hannah started with the Dauson Environmental Group in 2016 and offers diverse experience from the group of multi-disciplined companies. Hannah ensures that the Bluefield business runs efficiently by managing cost control and co-ordinating with subcontractors and suppliers on their accounts, as well as managing the office more generally.

Marc Richards
Contracts Manager
Marc joined Bluefield in November ’23. Having previously worked for main contractors Equans, Engie and Wates. Marc brings 20+ years experience from developing residential sites across South Wales and South West England.
