Practical Completion - Clos Y Ffatri

The Bluefield Land Ltd team were delighted today to handover our latest scheme to Trivallis. These units were delivered via a fabric-first methodology to meet AECB – Association for Environment Conscious Building standards of energy efficiency and performance using MVHR.

As far as we are aware, this is the first such scheme to be delivered in Wales using SHG funding. Credit goes to Spring Design for pioneering this technology through various processes to gain Llywodraeth Cymru / Welsh Government approval for use with HG.

Also noteworthy is that prior to the construction phase we employed the services of our Dauson Environmental Group Ltd colleagues in Cardiff Demolition Co. Limited, Neal Remediation Ltd and Atlantic Recycling Ltd to ensure as close to a closed loop of recycling within construction as possible. The strengths of our wider group, combined with our fabric-first approach makes us, we think, one of the most environmentally responsible developers in Wales.

It was a pleasure to deliver these units for our friends at Trivallis who also deserve credit for being early supporters of this approach to housebuilding in a real-world situation. We are now rolling out this technology across south Wales, saving future residents huge sums on their energy bills in these times of Fuel Poverty. We’re proud to be seen to be at the forefront of this approach.
